Businesses

Most people who get the flu are sick for 3 to 5 days. Time off from work means less productivity for the employer and often, less income for the worker. If you provide health insurance to your employees, check to see that flu shots are covered and if so, make your employees aware of the coverage. If you do not provide health insurance, consider making employees aware of locations where flu shots are available. You might even consider offering a flu shot clinic at your workplace.

Promote Good Health Habits Among Your Employees

  • Include information about flu prevention in employee newsletters or emails.
  • Share this link with employees about where to get a flu shot.

  • An employer toolkit, complete with fliers, posters, and other printable materials is available at the CDC website External link.

Printable Materials

Includes flyers and posters, in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Chinese, Hmong, and Khmer.
